Teamwork and the Good Fight

Dick is calling the Outsiders “Batman and the Outsiders” as he wants Bruce to lead the team again, however they lead teams very differently:

Dick and Owen team up to sort out Chemo and they have a chat about forgiving things from the past specifically about Batman not trusting Captain Boomerang Jr.

The most important part if at the end once Dick is back from space and has a chat with Bruce:

Found this and chuckled. The women of the dcu debating what features of dick is the best. I go for the derrier all the way!

Two Robin’s

Zero Hour was an event that went through all of the DCU, the Batfamily related issues were Batman #511, Shadow of the Bat #31, Detective #678 and Robin #10. Time was mucked up and people were moving through time. In this issue of Robin there were two Robins.

 

One thing that is so nice about this issue is that you see Tim and Dick working together and you see both of their strong points. One thing that is funny is that Tim is older than Dick in this. It really shows how good Dick was at a young age and that Tim is amazed at how good he was as a child.

 

Dick gets to show off his acrobatics and Tim his detective skills. In the end Dick understands why Tim got the job even if part way through he thought that he was being a bit reckless.

 

 

 

It must nearly be Mothers Day

We both love the Dark/Black cat’s drawings, they are adorable and addictive. Once you’ve read one you just want to read the next and then once you’ve read them all the only thing you can do (apart from rereading them) is patiently wait for the next special day. So two new stories were put up today for mothers day (the American one). The first one revolves around a visit to Bruce’s parents grave:

It’s really strange seeing Robin’s with bow ties! 

The second story is this universe’s origin story for Terry:

That was just adorable, now we just have to wait till Father’s day (which I looked up and it’s something like the 21st of June). Good thing about Father’s day is that I am sure there are more stories to tell than there are for mother’s day in a world where none of the characters apart from Terry have a mother or a father that is alive.

Blindfolded brothers (Part 1)

This comic has so much interesting and important stuff in it that I’m splitting it into two posts.

Nightwing #25 (called “The Boys”) is a great issue in which is basically Dick and Tim have a chat while they are playing a game. Dick’s decided that he 

should have some time training Tim. They are blindfolded and travelling on the roof of a train moving along it, meet some robbers and transfer to another train. However the important part of the story is really what they are talking about.

 

Here they are standing on one leg (supposedly it improves their balance) and Tim makes Dick wobble:

Dick advises Tim that Steph could be a bit complicated, and then Tim comes back by mentioning all the girlfriends he’s had over the years and how stable they all are:

To that Dick replies with this:

Dick then goes on to talk about each of them and also mentions Helena. They then talk about Jason, Bruce and about giving up the job. That’ll be in another post as revision needs to be done.

Battle for the Cowl – The Network (Preview)

The preview is on IGN and there is a nice little bit between Dick and Babs. In general though “The Network” looks really organised and like things are getting done in Gotham. Barbara looks like she’s very busy telling everyone what to do:

Yeah that picture is cute and sad. When you put things on here can you put the issue that it’s from because as useful as having pictures here is I think knowing the issue is good because there might be other bits in there we want to. Also if we know the issue and we want the picture for wallpaper or something we’ll have a bigger version.

At the moment the blog isn’t searchable to anyone, you need to know the website to get to it, so it’s just us. Hopefully it’ll just be nice and useful for us when we want something. 

I’m not planning on putting much stuff on here soon as I have better things to do but you know me well enough! I’ll probably put a few things on but maybe limit it.

By the way when are you planning on going on Saturday? It’s just it’s Free Comic Book Day and somehow we need two copies of Blackest Night 0. I guess you’re dissapearing before FP opens aren’t you (10am)? I’ve had a look on the website of FCBD and the only place that springs out as being anywhere near where you live is Canterbury (then again I didn’t look at the list for that long). If you do happen to plan on leaving around 10 can you pop in there first, please! Also at the moment I think I’ll prob be back on Monday.
